Podcast 038 – Good Sam Chapters and Their Volunteer Work

Download Episode

Something different for our fans this week. We are dedicating the show to our local Good Sam Chapters and the incredible volunteer work they do in their communities. Many RVers may not know that the “Sam” in Good Sam refers to good Samaritans who always come to aid of those in need. It was the mission of the group when founded by Art Rouse, the original publisher of Trailer Life and Motorhome magazines, in 1966. Today the club has close to 2.2 million members and has chapters throughout the country.

At 7PM we will interview Martin Qualey and learn about their upcoming rally at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds in Maine, September 6-8. This year’s program will promote reading literacy for young children.

At 7:30PM we will have Jason Cole, State Director for RI, and Joe Cavossa (former State Director for MA) as they tell us about their Northeast Camping Charity that was formed last year, and who will have their annual fundraiser at Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort in Foxborough, MA, September 13-15.

Learn about their amazing work, and how much fun it can be to join them at their rallies and camping adventures throughout the year.
