A Great Year Ends, A New Year Begins! ⋆ New England RV Dealers Association

I always like this time of year. It gives everyone a chance to slow down just a bit and enjoy quality time with their family and friends over Hanukkah and Christmas as they finish up the current year, and then celebrate with the entire world as we usher in the New Year.

2018 was a great year for the New England RV Dealers Association and their members. We added new dealers, associate members and thousands of new fans on our very active Facebook page.

Our Boston RV & Camping show hosted approximately 17,500 visitors and we launched RVing in New England, our online talk Facebook Live broadcast, right after the show. During the winter/spring season our dealers participated in more than ten shows throughout New England.

Our dealers were showcased in hundreds of Facebook Live videos as we promoted different themes to drive consumers onto dealer’s lots throughout the year. For the third year in a row we focused attention on April is RV Month in New England as all the consumers shows came to an end and dealers launched their own open house festivities to get RV enthusiasts ready for another great camping season in New England.

During the fall our dealers are busy with the industry’s Dealer Open House Week in Elkhart, IN in September and the RVDA International Convention in Las Vegas in November. During the open house festivities our dealers purchase the new inventory you will see at our consumer shows and on their lots during their open house events. At the RVDA International Convention dealers have a chance to network with their peers, attend informative and educational workshops and visit hundreds of exhibitors that display at this annual event.

But that is all behind us now as we say goodbye to 2018.

In a few days we will usher in a new year and new opportunities to enjoy the RV lifestyle in New England and throughout the country.

In March the industry will launch a new trade event in Salt Lake City, Utah. The annual event will be known as RVX, for RV Experience. While it is a trade show, and not open to consumers, many of the activities at the show will be covered by the media and live streamed on social media. The event will focus on new products, new technologies and new accessories and get everybody excited about the upcoming camping season. Stay tuned for more information on this event as we get closer to March.
